Acai Bowl

Free radicals stress our body with 1,000’s of hits a day; they don’t take a holiday! So I give my body an antioxidant fix at least once a week to help protect it from disease, and this smoothie does the trick packed with antioxidants from the berries, beetroot and acai superfood.

 

Health benefits –

·      Acai berries are rich in amino acids and fatty acids, and are full of antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins.

ACAI BOWL

PB, V, SF, GF, DF

Makes 1 bowl

 

1 frozen banana, sliced

½ cup (62 g) frozen blueberries

1 frozen Acai Berry pack

1 cooked beetroot

2 tbsp peanut butter

1 cup (250 ml.) plant milk

Place all ingredients into a blender and pulse, pushing the fruit down into the blade until it’s smooth and creamy, don’t overblend to avoid melting the acai. Spoon into a bowl with toppings like homemade granola and a bit of fresh fruit.
